I am a board-certified psychologist. I help people and couples in high-performing careers balance personal, family, and work demands through research-proven methods.
Hi, I’m Alison.
Alison Hu, Ph.D., ABPP
I am a bilingual (English and Mandarin) counseling psychologist.
I was born in Taiwan and moved to the US as a teenager. My passion is understanding how individuals see themselves and how people of color navigate the world.
I graduated from an APA-accredited Ph.D. program and fellowship, and pursued advanced training to become a board-certified psychologist. My clinical experience spans a multitude of settings, including college counseling centers, hospitals, and veterans affairs medical centers.
Before entering private practice, I managed and led a Behavioral Medicine team and directed a postdoctoral training program at a prominent HMO in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, my responsibilities centered around providing comprehensive care for individuals grappling both physical and mental health issues while also offering clinical supervision to trainees.
In addition to private practice, I volunteer at Postpartum Support International, Women’s Cancer Resource Center, and other community organizations.
